Laurie's work is built on the organic premise that color is form. Laurie's design background allows her to treat contrasting hues and bold applications as essential structural elements, ensuring constant visual movement in every piece.

It is the result of years of immersion, giving Laurie a vast vocabulary in applications and techniques. She is relentless in experimentation, pushing beyond conventional boundaries by utilizing the effects of opaque versus translucent glass, and in some pieces manipulating the surface with powdered glass, sandblasting, and etching. The creation process itself is a high-stakes, finely choreographed dance between her and her team, controlling the glass's fluidity to solidify a body of work that is inherently inter-connected, visual, and entirely modern.
